Rice & Peas is a periodic collectable zine that I produce exploring various facets of Jamaican life and style. This little zine packs a massive punch bursting through the seams with interesting info, interviews and artwork that reflects what I'm upto in the studio at the moment.
Volume 4 - The Worldwide Issue: focuses on what's going on around the world with the Jamaican diaspora and lovers of Jamaican culture. Featuring interviews with DJ's The Large (UK/NY) & Phantom (Sweden), Multi-talented Multicultural Dancer Hanna Herbertson (NY), India's first Dancehall/Reggae sound system Reggae Rajahs, Sound-man Louis Basslines (Australia) and inspirational Jamaican lady Melissa King (based in Japan). Also included is Mento to Dancehall a Brief Rundown and my first solid attempt at info porn. Island Healing - examining the various botanicals in Jamaica and their uses in home remedies and bush tonics. Vol 4 also boasts a fantastic Soundtrack selected by Louis Basslines looking to Reggae and Dub influenced tunes here in the Pacific region with a few of his top dancehall picks of the season mixed in.
